We are the Creative Lions, a production company founded by: Kiriem Bello, Jess Collett and Tolu Stedford. We are three actresses, writers, and filmmakers from diverse backgrounds who bring different perspectives to each project we work on. We believe we have a great depth of vision, enabling us to explore a wide range of interesting themes. Our collective experiences allow us to explore a wide range of themes and storylines.
We are on a journey to producing high-quality content for film and tv that is hard-hitting, challenging and enlightening, whilst bringing new narratives to the screen and opening up untold stories. We are passionate about pushing the boundaries of our prejudices and exploring the darker side of humanity.
Our slate so far has been varied in subject matter which includes, racism in diverse multiracial families, mental health and social judgment. The genres range from drama to dark comedy and coming from a female perspective. Previous film projects include “No. 22”, “Ward M7” and “Over It”, “Anonymous” and “Baba” (which is in pre-production).
We also have many projects in development including “Mothers and daughter”, to be filmed at the end of June 2020 and multi-award nominated script “Ambition”, due to be filmed at the beginning of September of 2020.
Last May we went to Cannes for the Film Festival, taking our first film “Anonymous”. We were delighted to have the opportunity to share our film and talk to the heads of BFI, Film 4 and BBC films.
Creative Lions is part of The Creative Alliance, a platform for creatives to share, connect, promote and learn from industry professionals. The Creative Alliance also produces a podcast, hosts industry events and builds a creative community. Our aim is to use our passion and skills to help the Creative Alliance community grow, develop and showcase their projects?
We are working hard to bring our passion and skills together in order to and offer a fresh and edgy way of working in the new age look into the world of media and storytelling.
