Jess Collett trained at Rose Burford studying American Theatre Arts, which included a year’s study at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas. She has always been passionate about films and so it was inevitable that she evolved her acting career, to run a filmmaking one in parallel. Her producing credits include short content: Watching; Liz & Richard; Over It & Anonymous she was also a production assistant on the feature Dead Cat. All this work has either been successful on the festival circuit or in other ways. Jess’ writing credits include: (short) Liz & Richard; (comedy pilot) Over It (which is currently playing on Amazon Prime) and (short) Ambition. Ambition was shortlisted for the Eastern Edge Film Fund (part of Film London’s London Calling) and was a finalist in screenwriting film festivals in Austin and Kansas, it was also officially selected for Cannes Latitude Film Festival. Most recently ambition was shortlisted for Film The House competition and she attended the awards ceremony at the House of Commons.
Producer, Writer and Actress
Kiriem Bello is an actress, voice-over artist, writer and producer of Nigerian / Jamaican decent. Kiriem was born in London, did part of her schooling in Nigeria before returning to England to complete her secondary and university education. After plucking up the courage to play Emilie in Les Liaisons Dangereuses (2009) in an amateur dramatic production of the play at the Wimbledon Studio Theatre, Kiriem knew that acting had to become her career one day. Kiriem auditioned for the Identity School of Acting and trained there for 18 months. She discovered the Meisner Technique and fell in love with it so moved to the Actors Temple where her craft came alive. In conjunction with her acting, Kiriem trained with Gary Terzza's VO Masterclass to become a voiceover artist. Whilst training, auditioning and working, Kiriem co-founded the Creative Alliance Show, a radio show and podcast that brings creatives of all types together to celebrate and elevate each other. Kiriem is one of the presenters of the monthly show which is recorded at Threads Radio. This has since evolved into the Creative Alliance, providing networking events, screenings, productions and an on-line platform for creatives to connect and work together. In addition to all of this, Kiriem is part of the production team at the Creative Lions who have produced Anoymous (short film) which was awarded the bronze award by Latitude Film Festival. The Creative Lions also have Baba (short film) and Ambition (short film) in pre-production.
Writer, Producer and Actress
Tolu Stedford started her training at a young age at the Royal National Theatres ‘Young Theatre Company’. Here she had the opportunity of performing at the prestigious theaters of the Young Vic, Old Vic studio and Royal National Theatre. After a career break, she restarted her training at the Identity School of Acting and City Academy Drama School. Passionate about storytelling and history she began to write her own productions. She wanted to write great material that included her love of history and give opportunities for strong diverse characters without bias. Her stage plays include: ‘The Mistake’, ‘ The truth is’ (Shortlisted: Melanin Festival) And ‘Ackee’ (short story). Tolu then joined teams with two fellow actresses (Jess Collett and Kireim Bello) to founded their production company ‘Creative Lions’ and has now become an award-winning writer and producer. Her producing credits include, Anonymous ( Bronze Award), No.22, Ward M7 and Baba (in Preproduction). Tolu is proud to say these productions have been successful on the festival circuit, winning awards and have been short and longlisted professional industry competitions. Tolu’s writing credits include: Anonymous (Lattitude award winner), Baba (SWN screenwriters Official Selection), No.22 (Enterthepitch Shortlisted) and Ward M7(Longlisted).
